The SAT stands for the Scholastic Assessment Test and is conducted by the College Board for students who wish to seek admission to undergraduate colleges and universities in the USA. The SAT evaluates a candidate’s verbal and mathematical skills. Most colleges in the USA require SAT scores for undergraduate admissions, and many institutions also offer scholarships based on SAT performance.
Structure of SAT

As per the exam structure, most SAT questions are multiple-choice. However, some Math questions require students to write their own answers instead of selecting from given options. It is recommended to attempt every question rather than leaving responses blank, even if you are unsure of the answer.
The SAT exam duration is approximately 2 hours and 14 minutes. The Reading and Writing section lasts 64 minutes, while the Math section lasts 70 minutes.

SAT Slot Booking
Every year, a limited number of seats are available at each SAT centre. Therefore, students are advised to book their SAT exam slots well in advance to avoid any inconvenience. It is also important to choose a test centre near your location so that you can reach the venue on time on the exam day.
SAT Cancellation & Test Centre Change Fees
The SAT registration cancellation fee is $25. Candidates are also required to pay $25 for changing their test centre.
