Plymouth is proud of its committed staff. The staff ensures the programmes are relevant and stimulating to equip students with a wide range of practical skills. The inputs from current practitioners, professional bodies, business and industry are incorporated in post graduate programmes. Research is central to university’s mission.
Post graduate degree programmes include training and research methods with a comprehensive body of subject specific modules. Distant learning is also available for some, else most of them are completed in 12 months duration. One third of the MA and MSc degree is engaged in research project and the rest of two third in assignments, lectures and tutorials. Continuing professional development (CPD) courses is also available which are credit rated and can lead to post graduate taught awards over the time. Both, graduate and under graduate programmes include various subject options, from architecture to business management, from social work and medicine to agricultural and biological sciences including Law.
Other International programmes:
The university welcomes students from 100 countries every year with a specialized team dedicated to make the experience of international students fruitful. The New Route PhDTM (NRPhD) programmes are particularly suitable for distant learning for overseas students. The university also offers summer school courses to help students to achieve finness in the language to meet the requirements of the course. The courses range from 8 – 12 weeks. There are other top-up degree programmes which can make you complete undergraduate and masters degree in just two years.
