University of Bedfordshire is a modern public University. University of Bedfordshire is based in Luton & Bedford, the two largest towns in the English country. University of Bedfordshire was created by the merger of University of Luton and the Bedford campus of De Montfort University on 1st April 2006 following approval by the privacy council.
University of Bedfordshire has three main campuses. They are following:
- Luton Campus : This campus is situated in centre of town.
- Putteridge Campus : This campus is situated on the outskirt of Luton.
- Bedford Campus : This campus is situated on Polhill Avenue.
Sports & Activities
University of Bedfordshire works closely with network of sports agencies both at national & local level. University of Bedfordshire provides wide range of sports opportunities for its students. University of Bedfordshire has strong reputation for individual & team sports such as football, rugby, swimming, cricket etc .Teams of University of Bedfordshire compete with institutions in the British Universities & College Sports League. Student Union and University work closely with each other to provide range of sports facilities to its students so that they remain fit. Athletic Union, division of student union is responsible for inter university competitive sports & internally run clubs.
University of Bedfordshire is equipped with two tennis courts, badminton courts, two indoor football pitches, full size basketball court, indoor cricket nets, two full size volleyball courts & a climbing wall. University of Bedfordshire also has gymnasium equipped with modern cardiovascular & resistance equipments backed up by free weights area. University of Bedfordshire student union is the perfect place to meet other students & get involved in wide range of exciting, fun activities. Student union provides cultural, religious, political and recreational societies for student.
Location and Weather
University of Bedfordshire is located in north of London. It offers rich rural landscape complimented by thriving town and villages. It takes 40 minutes to reach London from Bedford by train. University of Bedfordshire is linked with excellent transport links with rest of U.K. Weather of University of Bedfordshire is very notorious. It changes very frequently. It is always advisable to bring warm clothes for winters like long coat, gloves, cap etc
